The Bridge of Sighs
Built around 1600,
the most famous bridge
in Venice crosses from
Doges' Palace into the
New Prisons. According
to the legend, the bridge
owes its name with the
tears of the prisoners who
had just been judged and
were about to be sent into
the gloomy dungeons.
